This stuff is a little over my head, I have average understanding of options but 2019 Is the year that I learn options better. This week has been pretty slow for me, and the trading has been nice and steady, I think I put on about 5 futures positions, I'm flat at the moment. There is one more trade I'm eyeing on Natural Gas, but that might be it for the week. I'm up 3.27% for the week. I will print my official return for the week on Saturday. I'm still targeting 120% for the year, lofty goals.
I can only show then 1/14 through 1/16, it truncates 1/17 I guesss because today is not complete yet. I was flat by late yesterday anyway, so my results are accurate for this week. For some reason it is 3.28% instead 3.27%. Can't pull a fast one on Des...Nevertheless...this friendly competition is now war
Yeah, IB won't produce today's PNL until after Midnight. I wasn't suggesting your run was overstating the results, as you were down last week.
True, that was my YTD results through 1/11, now just down 1.46% for the year with 121.46% to go. This year is going to be a grind, but that's the life I chose hahahahah. My results can be kind of "lumpy" so I expect some 15%+ months. This month aint over yet with almost 2 full trading weeks left. Alot can happen in January.
If I do hit 120% this year, I will feel like Babe Ruth Pointing at the fence, and knocking the ball out of the park.
I don't think I can continue trading this account through IB. I had an hour of no quotes on vol (no fills), and during the tariff news. Any other mIRA broker that offers similar performance measures? I'll have to post the trades (in TDA) if I cannot find an alternative.
