  1. One last piece of advice, ignore Jack. He will lead down the rabbit hole and you may never return...

I've been reading your journal and found it pretty amusing (even as a woman) ...I trade stocks, so I can't help you with your strategy, but wanted to wish you luck . I think most of us lost a lot of money in the beginning, so don't let that discourage you. Experience is worth more than anything, and I think you are off to a pretty good start, especially at 17. I wish I had started in this business as young as you! Keep learning as much as you can about the markets, whether you continue to trade live or not, just not at the expense of your grades.

    Best of luck :)

By the time you get laid, you'll noticed that virtual sex is not the same as real sex :)

Of course, why can't real sex be just as easy as virtual sex? Because they are not the same. Different emotions for different strokes (pun intended).

Likewise, virtual trading and real trading are different, too, because emotions are different (and your hand is on the keyboard, not down there).

  6. Hey buddy, I started at 21 and I'm now 24. The begining was constant losing. I wish I had started at 17. Here is something that might help: Before your next trade, define as best you can what your edge is. Explain to us your plan and be as specific as possible. It is very easy to delude yourself and think you have a plan when in fact you do not.

  7. Hey, this is just an open ended question to everyone who's been kind enough to respond to my thread. When you guys first started or if you are just starting, did you have sweaty twitchy fingers when you switched to the live deal? I look at my hand and it's sweaty and twitching, and I came close to pressing a market order button even though I had no intention of doing so.

and a racing heart that feels like you are on some columbian snow. Go buy the disciplined trader so that you will at least be on the right path to mastering your emotions.

  9. Your "sweats" came from the reality that this not a game and the reality you are not secure in the system that you are trying to apply.....end result, major deficiency in trading account.

Step back, critically analyze your system or have others assist you....then proceed to trade.

    Good luck.

  10. After two days of horrible losses I think I've learned something.

I will go at it again, cool, calm and collect as I can. I will (try to) have the balls to pull the trigger, I won't be scared when I have a trade go against me, and I will definitely NOT get greedy or forget my rules when I have a good trade.

    Wish me luck here people
