These negativinskis can't be any "elite traders"... They even don't grasp the importance of the issue at all...
It's not primarily about frontunning but as another poster has written maybe about a not updated quote on the screen... I'm testing their software and sytems, and I make all my findings just public, as I don't have any official contract or so. If they are interessted in details then they surely can contact me. I'm just interested in a reliable platform for my own trading... PS: yes, I had to add you into my ignore list. Bye!
Fair enough @marsman . We all want reliable platforms... This order handling limit thing is probably a safety check... Whereby they will not accept a price that's too far off from last traded price, too safeguard you from entering a fat finger price. This is also a live market thing, happened to me a few times as well. But still, no-one is front-running you. Why are you still on the paper trading anyway? Just go and do live trading. Maybe even start with less used capital, at least you get a better idea of workability in the live market.
I'm reporting a bug in the platform, and a guy asks me why I still use the sim-account instead of the real-account... And: if he had read the previous postings he would know that going live is scheduled for next week...
But it's not a bug, it's a safety thing... it even says so on IB's site. I've had some fat fingers in my life, and wish I would've had that cap. But also, it can be a real shit when you want to lift offers and you can't because the system check is not cooperating...
Some traders or MMs who place (limit) orders into the orderbook seem to forget the time-decay of the options or maybe they make a break and forget the order. Then mispricings happen, and I think I wanted to make use of such a mispricing because my scanner had given a signal for it... But this time it seems it was a platform issue, a not updated quote...
You said you were a victim of their market manipulation. That was your observation and conclusion. Quote from you post #302: "I have witnessed and have been a victim IMO of a market manipulation"
