Come on folks, I don't have time to waste for lengthy discussions.
Believe it ot not, but at least don't disturb me with your ever repeating childish questions, suspicions and doubts.

I KNOW the IB sim trading is unrealistic, because EVERY and ANY sim trading is unrealistic. There is no substitute for live trading. Period. That is what people here trying to tell you.

The most realistic sim is the most liquid futures or stocks, but anything else you will have problems with fills, liquidity, spreads, sizes, etc.

You don't have to believe me, just try it Live. And your saying that there is no difference between futures and option sims just shows how naive or inexperienced you are.

Good luck with your adventure because you gonna need it...

P.S.: We aren't really impressed with ANY kind of sim results, come back when you have at least 3 months of Live results...

Well if you're that busy, just don't post, or post but don't reply to other posts. Simple as that.

To each his own. I'm happy with the IB paper account. It's an ideal platform to test out strategies.
And: I don't need to prove anything to you or anybody else here.
Ok, Pekelo, I would say that should be enough. Bye.

  5. Paper trading accounts do not have realistic fills because they are not real or sent out to a real market with a wide b/a. This is a fact that experienced traders all know well but you think you know better which is why you draw criticism. Your statement is no different than claiming you saw a 2-dicked unicorn flying out your window as fact.

You cry that you don't want any advice but you posted here PUBLICLY claiming your paper trade fills are "very realistic" and you can act like a market maker using your IB paper trading account.

Everyone else here knows this is complete bullshit so no matter how many fingers you stick in your ears to not hear us, we are right and you are wrong. No way around this simple fact.

The funny thing about facts...they are true whether you want to believe them or not (paraphrased/edited from Tyson).

paper fills are not realistic and neither is this fantasy.

I feel myself responsible for my journal... I don't want it filled with nonsense by some idiots...

Some people seem to be deaf or blind, they wrongly think my success is because of the paper acct.

It rather is primarily about finding and trading the right option strikes...
In previous posting I gave examples, incl. an example where my scanner could find no profit potential in AAPL options of the current and next week's options (it was before the ER), whereas with TSLA it had found about 14% profit potential... Of course these are snapshots, ie. things can and usually have changed since then... Ie. it's about finding trading signals and reacting quickly...

Some people seem to have wrongly interpreted my saying of "acting like a MM".
This is just an additional feature one tries or should try to do, but I already wrote that in about 1/3 to 1/2 of the cases I had to take liquidity to get a fill at all...

And: I'm not only doing trading, but also doing programming. That's about me being busy...

And: some people still wrongly think I'm trading crazy like a daytrader. Nope folks!
As already many times written: my goal is to let my positions (all short) expire worthless...
In this case liquidity, volatility, and also bid/ask spread are irrelevant... Search the archives where this all was already excessively discussed...

I kind of like to understand people or anything in general. Since your journal didn't make sense (why you are doing it) I suspected that you want capital/backing, thus I wanted to post a prediction, that a sales pitch was coming. Then I went to read some of your posts and I found this gem from June 21st:

So THAT is the real reason for this journal. You sim trade it for 2 months, then generously offer it for sale or ask for backing. That is why you are so jumpy when people tell you that your little sim strategy doesn't work in real life.

As other posts of yours show, you are quite newbie in option land (nothing wrong with that) but trying to sell a 20-30% monthly profit system/program with no real trades to back it up takes some nerve , man!

But I congratulate you for updating your expected returns from 20% to 30% in just a month! :)

OK, people, nothing else to see here, just a non-paying vendor trying to sell his dream system what this journal is all about...
