Abdel Hakim Belhaj, dropped something of a bombshell in an interview with the New York Times yesterday: In 2004, he said, two CIA agents tortured him in Thailand and then "rendered" him to Libya. From that point on, he maintains, he was held in solitary confinement for the next six years. Now, Belhaj as the top Libyan rebel military commander in Tripoli heads the Libyan rebels' military committee for restoring order in the capital of Tripoli. Belhaj, known as "Abu Abdullah al-Sadiq" in jihadi circles, is the previous commander of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG). After Gadhafi mostly crushed the group in 1998, "most of its leaders and members fled and joined forces with the Taliban in Afghanistan," where they pledged loyalty to Taliban leader Mullah Omar. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/envoy/l...contends-tortured-rendered-cia-153037850.html Stunning career comeback Abdel!
Rubbish, Commander Abdel is the commander of a sovereign nation armed forces with NATO air support capabilities.
Another obama success story. He continues to remind us of Jimmie Carter, who gave us the ayotollah and 30+ years of Iranian terrorism.
Would it be pushing it to assume this is on purpose? CIA have control of someone day and night for years and now he is in charge.... hmm.. Take a step off the deep end here for a second. All that money blown on mind control experiments, human conditioning, extreme stress, the CIA has done since the 50's. Now they have a guy with some Muslim terrorist cred. They are literally doing whatever they want to him for all those years, no restrictions from law, he could have a tracking chip up his ass for all we know. And all of a sudden he is large and in charge, what a coincidence... Ok, maybe I'm nuts, but this really could be an experiment with old Abdel, and I would think, it could be terminated at any time. Do we really think, all this oil is just... up for grabs... It may look like chaos, but is it? Ah conspiracy conspiracy, or all that oil, world's life blood, is up for grabs and I'm just silly....... While we trade paper around, do we assume the govts are as foolish, or do they know commodities are everything, and control is everything. Big tough heroic Abdel will get more than his nuts busted if he doesn't deliver up the goods. Just my opinion.
With a resume like that, it sounds like Obama handpicked him to run Libya. Obama probably wanted to give him a Cabinet position but decided against it because Belhaj didnt have tax evasion on his resume.
