I do like homegrown tomatoes , dont really miss the bacon+ lettuce/LOL I, 12 gauge blasted a close squirrel nest , this week ,that stole some of my tomatoes last year. Horse, cow, chicken cr*p are all good fertilizer, make sure to age it/LOL Miracle Grow works well also. Apple trees are fun once they get going/growing............

Depends on the area + landowner\also In TX you can shoot\kill anyone for theft, that maybe started in old west days. cattle + horses...... maybe needed for life.
