My Experience at a Prop Firm

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by pineman, May 10, 2007.

  1. He may be a troll but you should not be bragging at all. 10k for 6+ months is below minimum wage. And this is at a prop firm, so you get 10:1 leverage.

20k a year does not make you a solid trader. It keeps you in the poorhouse.

When did I say I was trading fulltime now?

Just saying my win ratio is good and my risk mangement is solid.

I'm in no way trying to live of this income. Nice to make 10k extra on top of my salary though.

    Wow....nice crowd!

That was only 3 months of swing trading around my fulltime job. Could I improve? Of course.

I'm sorry I ever tried to use this board. Later.

  4. You could also lose all your gains and then some. It's obvious you're new to the trading game, I suggest you lose the cocky attitude & stay humble.

  7. Hey kid, when you actually make enough money from trading to move on & invest in other ventures, maybe then you can talk down to me. Better yet, when you actually make a living from trading for at least a year, maybe your opinion on the subject will have some worth.
Until then, why don't you be grateful that your parents have not kicked you out of the basement yet, as your Walmart job is unlikely to allow to afford your own place that is not part of a trailer park.

With your shitty attitude, you will be back here in 6 months crying about your lost $10k.

Had I known how negative this thread had become I would have stated my original post more politely.

Let's face it this is an emotional business. Even when trying to research retail brokers, I find that 70% of the posts are just people mad because they lost money. They want anything to blame rather then themselves.

Im finding the same situation with prop shops. Pretty much cant use general feedback to funnel you in the right direction. So it's a bit frustrating as it's a tool im used to relying on in other services.

Not here to wave my trading e-peen around...whether you think I am good or bad. Is irrelevant.

    GLTA.

  10. if you've only just started trading high leverage, and doubled up, then you're in the elite and you should be proud of yourself, and ignore the shitheads that diss you.

what should you care what other people think? i sure as hell don't.
there are so many losers out there projecting their own failures on here (atticus being the king of the forum in that department) who get their rocks off insulting people who try and who may not know as much as they do, ignore those pricks.

keep working hard, focus on the positive, work on emotional discipline, and stay motivated by taking time off.

    the markets are always there.

as for being insulting, if your skin is that thin, then you're in the wrong biz because traders are assholes, every last one of us.

it's what makes us so appealing to gold digging whores.

    good luck.
