A lot of cheap stocks even does not have options on them, And if offen options are with wide spreads.

But, the cheaper the stock is the better you says! So maybe you know of a OTC market were there are a liquid options market.

Commission for stock trades is $0, and for the LongPut only $0.65 at entry, and optionally at expiry if one does an early-close instead of letting it auto-expire, ie. max $1.30 commission for the option.
Regarding the definitions: they are easy to fill... :)

Now all you need is a set-up for entry.

No, I don't mean OTC, I mean listed stock with options. There are more than 3000+ listed US stocks that have options.
The options spread is irrelevant as we make only 1 options roundtrip trade.

So, if you buy a cheap listed stock for 1.30 dollars commision free, and then buys a put for x plus 0.65 commsion *then you say the spead and option premium does not matter* and the HEDGE works for a week and you will only trade that stock for a week etc.

    Any way Good Trading

I will drop out of this thread

Do you mean the plan is good and I can start, or do you rather mean you don't believe in the plan and would like to see me start and fail?

$0.65 is a big overhead to overcome. That is why I day trade stocks and not options.

If you are with Schwab, they will reduce your commission if you trade bigger size. Mine is $0.25 but even that is hard to overcome in day trading.

Guys, don't you understand that it's only 1 options trade in total for the whole 5 days? :)
Therefore, the option commission (maximum $1.30 roundtrip) is negligible.
Ie. per contract and 100 stock shares.

My plan too is about daytrading stock, not options :)
The one option is just for "hedging" (ie. protective put). It's not traded, but kept till the end.

Can you tell us how many option trades are required to get $0.25 at Schwab?

    My bad.

Ignore my post if you think $1.3 is well within your model's expectancy.
