I want you to succeed...even in the stringent environment you are embarking on. I am not crazy about the trailing drawdown thing, but if you can beat it you will be a superstar.
I have to be very honest. When I first started with the funder companies, I truly fucking hated the real-time trailing drawdown and did not use stop losses until probably 3-4 months ago. LMAO. 15 years trading and I have used a stop loss only recently....lol. Anyway, now I love it. It taught me the pattern recognition skills necessary for getting out of a position before a "fuck you, give me back my profits" trend reversal. And the use of stop losses in general goes without saying -- but I have only recently began to appreciate the philosophy. Most people hate the high hurdle of getting funded and the rules. I love them, embrace them, owe my future life to them. Without prop firms, I would have just continued to make 6-figure salaries only to give it to the market. Now, I am on the cusp of GOATness. Yes, I said it. I truly know that I will become the greatest trader ever....even better than the best, Jim Simons. I just need to keep evolving.
And you sir, as well. A gentleman, who is confident in himself enough to be able to encourage his fellow brother. That is class, my friend!
Greatest Of All Time It's a play on "greatness" - it might sound corny, but it's what we all strive for (but will rarely achieve). Only someone who truly appreciates the rigor and statistical odds of failure - but does it anyway and achieves it, is a G.O.A.T.
This is going to be my last post in this thread since i do not want to offend anyone, but i really feel the need to post this. I was a supporter from the start, but back then i didn't knew you weren't paying your rent so you could take these tests. First of all, i really do hope you will succeed in your trading career. However ... I really can't understand so many people here support you in the way you are doing it. You are not paying your rent and you are going to be homeless soon. Basically what you are doing is denying other people their money you own them, i would even say you are stealing from them. All that for some demo trading in the hopes you will get a funded account this time after spending so much money on it in the past. Sorry dude but you really need to get your priorities right, becoming homeless because you keep chasing this dream and keep trowing your money at these firms isn't a priority ... Having a home and a decent basic life should be your first priority and clearly it's currently not working out so you need to own up to your problems and get your life in order before you continue this trading journey. Get a job, pay off your rent and others debts you might have and go from there. Not only do i find it highly unethical what you are doing, with such high pressure on you for the need to succeed or else your life will fall apart, the odds of you succeeding are even smaller. Trading is extremely difficult on its own, 100 times harder with those kind of problems hanging over your head. It's basically do or die for you now and the closer you get to the draw down limit or the next monthly payment which you cannot afford, the harder you will fuck it up because of the psychological pressure. I wish you the best, i hope you succeed one day, but right now you need to fix your life.
I think that all the followers would like to see the OP beat the system and move forward to a profitable situation assuming that his personal situation is on the level. So far his dialogue seems to confirm that.
Yesterday he said he is crazy behind on rent and is going to be homeless soon, not sure that is the personal situation one should aim for.
