Mutual fund redemptions

    anyone else think they are seeing resulting liquidation in their stock(s)?
    My specialist has unloaded easily 100m shares this week and it looks like he has total discretion in the order....not good for the home team in this case
     
  2. Much of the Putnam liquidation will not result in much selling do to the fact that mutual fund managers are FIRED all the time and the portfolio simply gets "transitioned" to another manager, or managers.

    People like Mellon have a Transition Trading Department.
    They do this all the time, between fund managers.
     
  3. ...I personally bailed out of all but maybe 10% of my stock positions in retirement funds two weeks ago.
