Must see: The Great Global Warming Swindle

  1. Completely agree, everyone seems to forget about the supply side of things.

The amount of fossil fuels in the world is finite, look at it from any angle, long term we will burn it all, does it really matter if we do it in 150 or 170 years?

The faster we burn fossil fuels the faster the price of oil increases, the faster renewable energy is developed. It’s really simple.

Today energy is heavily taxed, especially in Europe. Try to imagine this was never done. The development of renewable energy would have gotten a lot further, cars would have been more fuel efficient etc..

To tax energy is like putting 30% in cash and 70% in the stock market, instead of 100% in the stock market. It sure feels safer short term, but long term it damage growth.

The wheels of capitalism must spin faster and faster, it’s the only solution.

In light of the incredibly ignorant statement by Voo...

    >Some basic well known facts..

    >Ice takes up more volume than water. (try putting a
    >filled up bottle in the freezer)

    >Only one ninth of the volume of an ice berg is above
    >water.

    >There is no land on the North Pole.

    >Add it up.. GW should contribute to falling sea level
    >not rising sea level.

...I just can't stop laughing at your comment ato.

Ice *floating* in water has NO EFFECT on the level of the water when it melts. As already pointed out, this is an experiment that can be carried out in any glass, pan, or bathtub in your home. (the physics of this aren't that difficult to explain, but hell with that, just do the experiment)

It's the water in the gaciers, etc. residing ABOVE the oceans that would raise the sea level.

(edit: for clarification, the above should read:
It's the water in the gaciers, etc. residing ABOVE the oceans *but not currently floating in the oceans* that would raise the sea level.)

    Nice try though.

Let see, if the temperature goes up, the glaciers will melt and become water and raise the sea level. How is the higher temperature NOT going to cause more evaporation? And the MOISTURE in the atmosphere is NOT going to absorb heat and therefore lower the temperature?

OK, if higher temperature would cause the sea level go up? Is there any evidence that the sea level actually went down during the last ice age. Do we know and by how much?

Hot air, cool air circulates and self-regulating. Water, rain, vapor, moisture, snow and ice recycle and self-regulating. The earth has been self regulating for the last few billion years without human. It is going to be self regulating with or without human for the next billion years.

    Another non-response.

Why it is utterly untrue? Where is your arguement?

Let say I accept the temperature may have raised a fraction of a degree over the last few decade. How could one point to the coral and say that fraction of a degree is the reason of whatever happen to the coral. And the change of a fraction of a degree with make some living things to go extinct?

If all these "going to extinct" species can not survive a fraction of degree of temperature change, we are going to baby sit them?

Coldest April in years caused by Global Warming!

A simple Google search using keywords "coldest April". The top few matches:

Al Gore where are you? I am sure this is either a conspiracy or a co-incident. OK, let me explain: the warm globe melt more Polar ice, the cold icy water flow south and you got the coldest April. Did I missing anything?

You are wasting your time trying to educate these people. Let me put it to you this way, there are still people today that believe you can square the circle, trisect an angle, or duplicate the cube, inspite of the fact that it has been proven by mathematicians to be impossible well over a hundred years ago. These people know of these proofs, but still dedicate themselves to the impossible.

Do you see what I am driving at?

What caused the extinction of all the dinosaurs? The EARTH climatic change BEFORE human existed. Who can be blame that one on?

Sure it would be nice to have ALL the different dinosaurs running and flying around. Yes, we would have to have a Jurassic Park.

The species regulate itself by NATURAL SELECTION or "survival of the fittest". Here is an example:

Pismo Beach in central California is very famous of clams. Some 10-15 years ago environmentalist decided that the Sea Otters are endangered in northern California and start "transferring" some Sea Otters to central California. Guess what, the Sea Otters found the Pismo Beach clams delicious and ate most of the clams. Now the clams in Pismo Beach are endangered. Human is not allowed to dig clams anymore. But, sea otters can still eat the clams.

How did the sea otters eat the clams? The sea otters dive and get the clams. The sea otter would then swim facing up on the surface, put the clam on its chest or stomach, and break the clam shell with a rock!!! Yes, I saw it myself on TV.

    http://www.seaotters.org/Otters/index.cfm?DocID=24

Shame on the sea otters. The clams are defensless!!! What are WE going to do now: sea otters or clams.
