In short the goal of elite liberals, themselves exempt of course, is that everyone has equal lives according to their gospel. In order to do that they must paradoxically remove many personal freedoms they claim to support. For example the freedom to smoke is being attacked since they need you to stop in order to make sure their vision for health care is attained. However it logically can't be long after that which they must put the clamps on pot smoking since that would harm your health and drive up costs. Soon after that must come alcohol, since it is also a major health care cost driver, all in the name of some imaginary liberal nirvana that is so 'obvious' to them that it is beyond critical examination. That is, it is an oppressive religion, or communism with a different name. So obsessed with this religion and hatred for those of us that oppose it, they will make alliances with anyone.
