Musk weighs Twitter tender offer and says he's secured $46.5 billion in financing

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by Bugsy, Apr 21, 2022.

  1. I would like for Musk to take Twitter private... then see what he does with it in regards to free speech. The way it is now, Twitter censorship policies make it "not worth much".

  2. I mean fair play to them for rejecting a 38% premium on value!

Twitter as a private company has the right to censor false and harmful information; it is not censoring anything else.

Wingnut snowflakes only believe in their freedom(s).

Bakers can deny making a wedding cake for certain umm couples but can't require covid masks to be worn in their shop in certain states, unless the feds step in.

    Hypocrisy no end.

But stuff that is obviously True just gets declared as False when needed. This gives them cover to censor it.

Hunter Biden laptop case in point.

  6. "False and harmful"? Who's the judge of that?

The Left believes anything which is anti their political agenda to be "false and harmful".

A private right is a right. True or not doesn't matter.

albion said 'it is not censoring anything else', when clearly they do censor stuff that is not false and not harmful. They have a right to do so as a private company, but let's not pretend they don't have a very biased political agenda.

Obviously they are censoring. It is in the eye of the beholder whether or not it is based on a political bias.

But even I grant that it is, they are allowed to.

So if Musk thinks as you do and buys Twitter he will have to put up or shut up when it comes to censoring including those who will give him hell ... from the left and the right for the helluva it. Shrug.

Even Jack Dorsey admitted (a few years ago when he was still CEO) on the Joe rogan Podcast that the staff at Twitter were heavily left biased. He seemed powerless to do anything about it. Musk plans to take the company private and he can then fire the political activists that control the company from the inside.
