Only the EV credits -- where eliminating they would help Tesla against his EV competitors. Musk does not want any other type of credits and tax advantages provided to his other businesses to be cut. Nor does he want government spending with his businesses reduced; he wants government to spend more money on buying products & services from his businesses.

  5. Yeh sure, and that's why he aligned himself with Trump, because Trump is such a great promoter of EV vehicles.

Might want to think that through just a smidge more.

    Who's the idiot

Rene Boucher broke the senator's ribs in 2017 in a dispute between neighbors over yard waste.

Getting rid of the EV tax credits in the U.S. improves Tesla's competitive position in the market -- as outlined by numerous business publications at this point.

At the same time, Musk is urging Trump to do a carve out for Tesla for autos imported from China. So the proposed high tariffs would not apply Tesla but only to other companies. This, of course, will allow Musk to drop the prices on Teslas counter-balancing the loss of government tax credits -- while his competitors would lose the tax credits and still be paying high tariffs or forced to manufacture inside the U.S. at higher cost.

You might want to think things through just a smidge more.
