Of course then there is Twittttt err I mean X (60, 70, 90% of value pissed away), and whatever happened to the HyperLoop and the Boring Company? And absorbing SolarCity why exactly was that done, how many more rooftops are covered and PowerWalls sold than if SC was still stand-alone? And for guy that doesn't like gubmint he sure relies on them a lot, EV's tax credit/incentives, world's biggest customer for his rocket biz as well as some of his satellite stuff. The ledger swung the other way a year of more ago from creating to destroying. He better "stick to his knitting" or he might find himself shown the door at many of his creations in the not too distant future. PS that is besides $100+ billion of TSLA's market cap shredded just this month alone, nevermind since ATH back in 2022. "What have you done for me lately" is Wall Street's mantra.
I don't worship Elon, but to be honest, that 90% was lost long before Elon even put in an offer. The data the original board used was fraudulent and manipulated. Most of what they had in bots they tried to count as legit daily users, lol. Also, the board was just about to start axing jobs due to the horrendous losses. So you can't pin that on Elon either, as the pre-existing insiders were just about to do the very same thing. You can criticize a lot to do with the EVs, but that's another story.
Bullchit. He drove users and more importantly advertisers away. Call them woke if it makes you feel better. Elon has a great mind for ideas, clueless about how other people's minds work and what their idea of a great business leader is and does.
I think you revel in taking time frames that suit your narrative. The X story is just in its infancy, far too early to call it a failure. Did Musk pay too much for it? Sure, in the short term it looks like a disaster. But 10 years from now, when X offers a payment system, a WhatsApp like comms app, a shopping and a movie viewing platform... Meh, we'll see.
Suit my narrative haha and Wall Street's too. That's what traders do. In the meantime the marketplace of users and advertisers has spoken about his "vision".
those were not the reasons he bought X. And just for the record he tried to get out of the deal once he knew he stuck his big foot in his mouth which he often does. It was a politically fueled purchase and it looks to have backfired. All the above you say he will do is hypothetical mumbo jumbo. Where is the twitter coin he mentioned? Lol
