I've stumbled across an interesting experiment. Find out how the S&P "sounds": http://dr-morpheus.blogspot.com/2010/06/music-of-markets-s-500.html Price data is from January 1, 2008 through end of April 2010. This uses a scaled transform of the price series into music notes (midi values from 0 to 120). Free online tool here: http://musicalgorithms.ewu.edu/algorithms.html Just another way of representing price information, why not. HiddenAgenda
I would love to stream time & sales data into such software. It might be useful... I also am interested in using color in charts to glean a clue about what might be next in the print. I know there are already lots of colors in charts now but I mean using color and graphics in ways I have not seen. Thanks for the link.
Interesting, isn't it . .. Here's another interesting tool, NYSE's MarkeTrac: http://marketrac.nyse.com/mt/index.html It didn't make me any money, though. But it's still a nice picture to look at. What it gives you is thrill. And, arguably, that's more important than money. HiddenAgenda http://dr-morpheus.blogspot.com/
