After I UNLOCK my computer, all my windows will be rearranged.
Then I have to waste my time rearranging the windows.

If you go and Google about this problem, you will find that this problem has been around for years.
And it seems like there is no solution.

The problem is NOT due to
    - outdated windows version
    - outdated graphic card firmware

How do you overcome this problem?

    mine is Windows 10 Pro.

  4. could have been a corrupted update at one point. When that happens you have to reformat.

Id exhaust all other avenues, if there are any, before going down that road though.

Try showing the desktop (Windows-D) before locking. Then restore the desktop (another Windows-D) after unlocking.

Try using DisplayFusion, it might work better in controlling the monitors.

    maxinger and Turveyd like this.
  7. The issue I've had is that with Display Port, when a monitor is powered off, Windows recognises this and moves application windows to the other desktop. This might be happening when Windows puts the screens into power save mode or if you power them down yourself.

The only solution I've found is to hard code the EDID for each monitor through the graphics driver software. It's a bit complicated but I'm not aware of any other solution to this problem.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
I tried that and it didn't work.

I use Iconrestorer, but that works only for the icons on your screens. Or maybe Fences is a solution?

Have your computers and monitors set to "never off" seems the only way to fix this.
