Use the 2nd slot with one monitor to start.......go to nvidia's website directly to get the latest drivers.....then shut down, plug in other monitors.....restart all...right click on desktop to "personalize" (if running vista)...go to "display settings"..this is the best place to configure the multi-diplays.....hopefully you will be good to go!

    I just checked Dell outlet... there's a T3400 with E4300 CPU, 1G RAM for $609.

    There's also one with E4400, 4G RAM for $649.

The E4xxx aren't the fastest, but plenty good for trading. (I have one and it's faster than my P4s..)

Everything has been resolved and I thank you all again for the responses. I had a friend come over and he had it set up in about 1 minute. He did exactly what you all stated, I needed to indentify the monitors. I would recommend the T3400. My system came with dual quadro NVS 290's. I purchased an extra one from another website thinking the system only came with one installed. I will keep it just in case unless of course anyone is in need of one. PCIe16 with all cables.

    Thanks again for the assitance.

In spite of Dell Rep claiming "won't work with 4 monitors".... one of the online ordering options is for "dual 290s". And Dell's charging only $80 for the second video card. That's quite reasonable in the "new, retail" market.

Thanks for the report. Just goes to show that here on ET there are who some can be helpful without being self-aggrandizing, ego bashing, twits.
