  1. I sent request before I posted here .
Sorry to let you have that feeling about me . Please be considerated that there are many many data vendors other than those listed in MC default choice . The problem maybe because of those double bite character that you may not encountered . I hope you are right too otherwise I have made a wrong choice to buy it ...

    Have a nice weekend .

Since MC has a 30 day fully functional trial, there's no need to buy the software and then end up feeling fooled after not being able to get a chart up. But then again, if you're too technically challenged it might not be the right product for you either way.

You are aware that MC is a lot like Tradestation, which is widely regarded as very user friendly?

  3. Dear swordman168,
I don’t know your name so I will be using your nick. The situation you are describing sounds strange because
we haven’t received any e-mails regarding MetaStock for the past few days. Moreover, our live chat is available daily from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM EST and our tech support guys say that nobody has contacted regarding the described issue. Moreover Dennis sent you a private message and haven’t received any reply from you.
If you really want to get your issues resolved it could be done within 15 minutes. Just come to our live chat.

Other considerations. You say that MetaStock import is more complicated in MultiCharts than in MS. Yes, that it is true. However it is the price you pay for universality. I’m confident that our MS import routine is no more complicated than what other independent charting programs provide. MetaStock has only one format, but we as have to work with various data feeds – exactly the way our competitors have to.
At the end of the day, once MC has been setup it is as easy to use as MS. We are ready to demonstrate it.
You are welcome at our helpdesk.

    hi all,

maybe someone has an idea for this.

since 09.04.09 i get no longer EOD data from yahoo for my charts.
if i reload the charts i can see the error message in the quotemanager:
"start download htt:table.yahoo......etc" and " send history no bars"...but yahoo has the data for historical prices on the page.

i just collect data for 6 symbols on this way but why does it stop suddenly.

    my internet connection is okay.

any ideas? or what can i check to get more informations?

    thanks karla

I read on multicharts site that you get upgrades until the Gold version is released. why?

what will be the difference between the gold version and the final release of the regular multicharts?

when will the gold version be released?

  7. Gold Version is the final edition of this version of MultiCharts. It will be released when all of the bugs are killed.

  9. Data collection and maintenance is a problem in MC because database corruption happens frequently with MC if you run it for a long time and/or with multiple feed.

    (1) Try MC in offline mode, close all workspaces. Use Quotemanager (QM), right click on symbol and choose to clear cache and delete history for the symbol and restart MC in online mode with backfill and see if chart fills - usually this won't do it. Go to the delete symbol option in 2.

    (2) Use QM to delete symbol then close down MC, reboot Windows, restart MC in online mode with backfill data option and re-add symbol in QM. Try adding symbol to a new daily chart and see if it will fill new data. If not, repeat entire process 2.
