Just got my Stocks and Commodities in the mail and they have a review of Multicharts 2 in it if anyones interested.
Good day Andrew, When will be the next release? I would like to trial the software and prefer to wait until the next version. Additionally, I was unable to locate on the website if Multicharts would display current position, stops and exits as in Tradestation, Is this function available in MC? Does MC support "chart trading" i.e. click on chart to execute an order, or drag position on chart to change existing order, buy, sell, stop, etc.... Thank you...
I think you will want to write a strategy that reads some drawn lines to do that. I'm working on that currently, having the strategy look at the last drawn line and redraw it as a horizontal line so I can see which line represents the target and stop and which ones are geometrics.
I have not done it yet actually, so far I have just looked up the necessary keywords and it looks easy enough... I'm a little addicted to NinjaTrader for no other reason than that I can trade from the charts but I want a strategy to read drawing objects and Ninja can't do that. Multicharts, with enough massaging, can do what I want, it might seem a little less than elegant to some but it's functional and suits my personlity and that's all I need...
