  1. Got it..but there are many.

How many hedge funds are there in Switzerland ?
There are around 180 hedge fund management firms in Switzerland, the majority of which are based in Zurich, Zug and Pfäffikon. The country is home to 5 of the world's largest 21 FoHF managers.

so i finally have a auto system trading on multicharts however:

the system will buy/sell on the close UNTIL you enable real money auto trading, then it will enter the next bar at the previous close price.

  3. Then you will get filled at the open which is usually the close of the prior bar.
Do you have IOG set to on ?

You can get around that by creating a custom session, ending 1m before session close then you daily strat will send over just before the close. My assumption is that you use daily bars.

  5. I bought the lifetime license of Multicharts for $300.00 back in 2004. I use it for 1 thing only. Automated trading of stock index futures. It's taken close to 20 years of working with programmers 40,000 hours of screen time. It works for me just fine. But I'm just a simple man.

Can you run an automated system on a portfolio of stocks futures and currencies with Multicharts...I have no idea.

  6. Loss of internet connectivity is my biggest fear in automated trading. I have Spectrum and ATT. I use a Peplink Balance failover router. If i lose connectivity the router will automatically switch to the backup. I have it programmed and get messages when this happens. I also have power failovers.

If you want to run automated systems 24X7 you need redundant systems in place.

  7. How did you ever translate "screen time" into EL Signal logic ?
Seems to me that a lot of judgement was applied.

You seem to contradict what their web-site claims on the bottom of this page, where they state it's multi-threaded. Don't shoot the messenger though... never used their software; just found the topic interesting.

"MultiCharts is a multi-threaded application. This means that the more CPU cores your computer has, the faster backtesting and optimization in MultiCharts will work. With modern multi-core processors we can now meet traders’ rapidly growing demands for speed and efficiency in trading platforms."
