There are DVI-DP cables... don't know if dual or single link or if subject to same 1920x1200 limitation of DVI-DP adapter. Monoprice is a good place to buy cables. You might call and ask. I believe NVS 295 is only single-link, regardless of cables/connectors.
Dell Ultrasharp U2711 comes with DP also and gets good consumer reviews. Are the monitors you're considering buying older versions? Seems any monitor today with such high res would also come with DP connector... ?? If you're Hell-bent on those monitors (w/o DP), suggest trying them with DVI-DP cables on your 295s. If not satisfactory, look for other cards.
