You don't know what you're talking about. There is nothing more annoying than someone who acts like he knows what he's talking about but doesn't. Go to appian's website, it specifically mentions analog outputs for the appian x. The appian x is old technology, it was a first generation DVI card. No appian or matrox card can drive any number of DVI at more than 1280x1024. In fact, there is no solution currently available for Slave's problem on windows computers using PCI cards (lot's with AGP, but only dual head). The only PCI cards I know of that can drive the kind of DVI resolution that slave wants are made by Sun, for Sun workstations, and they are mucho dinero and way overkill. I'll bet you won't have to wait 6 months though Slave. Someone will build it for windows soon.
Hey I just checked colorgraphics website. www.colorgraphic.net They have a kick ass new line of graphics cards that will drive 4 DVI's at 1600x1200 and a TV tuner to boot!!! So your problem is solved Slave. Hey they are even PCI cards! So much for my comment about waiting 6 months...lol. The models are XENTERA GT and PREDATOR PRO.
Would you be so kind as to make a recommendation? Since I now have discovered I have the wrong card....I need to buy another one. My plans are to purchase 2 Samsung 191 t's and I want the best video card to run them I guess i can use an AGP slot for a dual head card if that would be a recommendation of yours? Or perhaps there is a better way to run dual monitors of the type I am buying. Michael B.
No God damnit! No soup for you!!! Get out of my store!!! No soup for you!!! Rushmore will only do 1280x1024x4DVI!!! When slave asked for help, he didn't ask for the whole board to start guessing....lol
I guess he's looking for 1600x1200 native resolution. So the six month period still valid since all the cards are 1600x1200 max resolution for DVI.
If anyone's interested I have the G55MADDA32DB dual DVI card & cable for sale http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=21652
