Multicharts is not identical to TS. The EL code is very near so, but not the platform.

And even if TS could get a ruling against MC, they're in Russia. Good luck enforcing that. Better to partner with them

TS should get off their collective ass and upgrade their product. MC would be marginalized just by improving the existing product. But that's not going to happen so MC will continue to close the gap. In a year or two, MC will probably surpass TS in totality. It already does so in some areas.

MC has already extended the keyword repertoire and functionalities of EL.

Very soon, the TS EL will be a subset of the MC EL.

I believe there was a problem with copyrights or maybe some kind of expiration on TS2ki. Multicharts was allowed to get their foot in the door.

They are clearly kicking the shite out of Tradestion programming wise. In my experience, Russia has some of the craftiest programmers in the world.

If Tradestation could stop this ---they would have already. Multicharts waited for "something" to expire and then brought out their clone. It may have something to do with the Cruz brothers and how they bought Tradestion Easy Language to begin with (long long ago).

Hell I may do a trial and run my old Easylanguage code on it and see what all the excitement is about.

    What a Muppet.
The very first line on the purchase conditions reads “We do not provide refunds on orders and all sales are final, so don't miss the opportunity to use the 30 day free trial to see if MultiCharts meets your needs.” All the rest is irrelevant.
As there are already 2 threads dedicated to sogodo’s stupidity I was just curious as to why you would want to change the topic of this thread. Does this mean you have finally accepted the blatantly obvious that MultiCharts is not ripping off TradeStation?

Is it true that Tradestation had a fall out with Samual Tennis (the inventor of EasyLanguage) ?

The situation was so bad, Tradestation lock Tennis out of their website and deleted all his posts.

At least MultiCharts isn't ripping off TradeStation's customer service.

TSSupport needs to be commended for the level of support they provide. No other charting package vendor services their customers like TSSupport.

I had a problem today (Saturday morning) and within two hours it was resolved.

Tennis was a programmer with the original team at Omega, but I think even he will be surprised to know that he was the inventor of EL. They all agree though that the parrot was the cause of the fall out. :) [IMG]
