Mueller

  1. Reality is Trump never has had any intention to date of firing Mueller. Leftist delusion is some nitwit dreams up a fantasy, posts it on some obscure leftist blog, MSM reads it and uses it as a "credible source" so they have something to hyperventilate about for weeks on end.

Mueller goes on all out missions to entrap his opponents and then indict them.

FBI employee wrongdoings, on the other hand, finally get exposed when they can no longer be hidden. Then the employee gets reassigned to another job for whatever period of time is necessary to make sure he qualifies for full pension benefits in retirement.

  3. Muhammed Ali invented the rope-a-dope strategy, in which one boxer lays on the ropes and covers up as his opponent takes shot after shot at him. This seems to be Trump's Mueller strategy. It strikes me as high risk. Trump is not Ali. Mueller is more like the Terminator than George Foreman. He is not going to get tired and punch himself out and he is not going to quit. Discrediting Trump is key to defending the Mueller/Comey reign of incompetency if not corruption at the FBI. He can't just indict Jared for unpaid parking tickets and call it a day.

It's also crucial that he keep on the job until after the midterms. if the dems take the House, then he can hand them a report saying Trump committed treason with the Russians and should impeached, and they will immediately do just that.

So it seems to me it is critically important for Trump to strike first and discredit the FBI. He can easily do this by indicting these FBI officials on political corruption charges. Fire them for cause, ie no pension and put their necks in the wringer. See what comes out the other side. Then use it to justify firing Mueller.

The case for keeping Mueller and not going after FBI agents is basically that the left has a tremendous propaganda advantage via the media and will exploit it brutally. Add to that the fact that most of the republican political class would be happy to be rid of Trump, and you can see why his team is cautious.

  4. Yep to all that, but life is messy over in Dem Village for sure. They want to impeach trump and get him out as soon as possible, but they also want him to be the one on the ballot that they are running against in 2020. - not pence, not Rubio who challenges him in the primary and so on. And they are really making no progress whatsoever in finding new candidates and will have an army of old time losers sucking the oxygen out of the room. Oh, that's right: Kamela Harris or Corey Booker. Okay fine, whatever. Bunch of losers. Maybe Pocohontus with all her executive experience from getting paid 440k a year to teach one course at Harvard Law. Yeh, nothing like having a native American warrior as Commander in Chief. Gawd, that would be fun though to watch her run against Trump. Giddyup!! Should be pay-to-view.

I don't like a lot of Trump's chaotic lashing out on Twitter, etc but I am sort of with him on the dossier thing. He needs to just slap their face hard as he is doing and openly piss on them as he is doing. And he should do more of it. If the FBI doesn't like it, well then they need to just deliver on the subpoena so that we see what the right story is. So far, looks like they are doing everything in their power to cover the fact that they foisted a fraud upon the court by using Clinton campaign opposition research as the supporting facts to have a warrant issued. EVERYONE NEEDS TO JUST STAND DOWN ON WORRYING ABOUT WHAT MUELLER IS DOING AND WORK ON GETTING THAT DOSSIER INFO. The FBI does not want anyone to see it is the gateway to exposing the whole crooked connection between the FBI/Justice Department and the Dem Party, and the Obama involvement.

You hit the nail on the head. The real problem for Democratic Presidential aspirations in 2020 is the lack of quality candidates rising to the top.

Their best hopes at the moment are Biden or Bernie.

the democrats are going to most likely have to go with a celebrity.
they lost so many seats the last few elections... their bench of moderates is gone.
what is left is the looney left from looney left districts. (mostly)

  8. You are probably right on this but I think that is a big miscalculation on their part. As I recall they also wanted him to be the nominee in 2016 because he would be so easy to defeat. Oops.

No republican pol connects with the base like he does. The alternatives all support some form of amnesty and open borders, which are anathema to that same base.

If I were running the democrat party, I would have two goals. One, prevent Trump from building the wall. Two, somehow get him forced out of office in a way that will leave his supporters even angrier at the establishment republicans. Either should be good enough to get the dem candidate elected.

Trump has lost most moderate and independent support he previously had as poll numbers consistently show so he is likely to have less support in 2020.Would love to have that re match in 2020 with what will certainly be energized and enthusiastic democrats.Moore and Gillespie felt it in 2017,Trump will feel it in 2020.

The eggnog is more powerful this year than ever. Combined with "medical" marijuana, this is quite possibly the most delusional holiday season ever.

I know this because I saw a national poll saying so.
