  2. Karpeles is running a Ponzi and the Jap authorities aren't doing anything. They're usually tough on these types of scams. What's Karpeles' immigration status?

My point is that Facebook or anything like we have now in the way of Internet was very difficult to forsee in 1995. That's all brother.

  5. So was the "dot.com bubble".. also backed by nothing but hope and speculation.

For something to be utilized as a "currency", needs "intrinsic value"... Bitcoin doesn't have that.

  6. Yeah, I really messed up on that one. I guess the lesson learned there is that if people want to believe something is worth more than it actual is, they will make it worth more than it actual is.

Coincidently, since you like to look up my old posts, you will also notice that at the same time i was saying short FB at $20, I was also saying Bitcoin is a fad that is going to go to zero also.

I admit I didn't understand the power of the people back then. Now I do.

  7. People keep spouting off that shit about bitcoin not having intrinsic value. I think you guys don't even know what the word means, so here let me give you the definition.

Intrinsic Value - The actual value of a company or an asset based on an underlying perception of its true value including all aspects of the business, in terms of both tangible and intangible factors

Do you still think bitcoin has no intrinsic value?

  8. I didn't look up your old posts. I am atticus and was long from 22. I dunno. Someone short FB from 20 and stating BTC would go to zero when it proceeded to jump 40-fold.... wouldn't you say you have a perfect record as a fade?

  9. i wouldnt leave bitcoins in coinbase either, transfer in, buy/sell, transfer out. They have been solid so far but you never know. Tomorrow it could be hacked, government might shut it down etc.. should keep all bitcoin yourself in cold storage.

  10. Well, it's convertible to cash/gold so long as it maintains a "believe-in-it value"... and at a price subject to what, +/- 30% fluctuation daily? How intrinsic is that?
