Actually both I do not use it, but I am voting for MT5 because its similar to MT4 as now I used it for trading daily, in my broker only offer MT4 and MT5 besides web trader and mobile platform, but now they also developing TickTrader for ECN account, trade multiple assets in one platform.
Well, in a narrow sense that's true, EA is a proprietary term that MT users call their algorithmic development, therefore you can't really run EA on any platform apart from MT. Nontheless, in a wider sense the statement is far more than doubtful. ctrader offers a great set of instruments and opportunities to create, backtest and run trading robots. C# or C++ is a matter of taste, but there are other benefits that ctrader offers. I.e userfriendly copy-trading solution to complement a successful cbot.
I liked trading in MT5 more. My broker fxopen gives the opportunity to trade on this platform, so my choice was made a long time ago. It is more important for me that the broker provides instant execution, minimal spreads and stable operation of the terminal and I have no problems with this. Therefore, MT5 is quite enough for me for profitable and comfortable trading.
I prefer MetaTrader 4 (MT4) for its simplicity and reliability. It offers strong charting tools, automated trading via Expert Advisors, and a user-friendly interface. While MetaTrader 5 (MT5) has more features, I find MT4’s stability and extensive community support more aligned with my trading style.
I prefer platforms with fast execution, low latency, and user-friendly interfaces. Features like advanced charting tools, reliable order types, and strong security matter. Platforms that integrate seamlessly with my trading strategy are essential for smooth execution.
What do you think makes cTrader stand out compared to other platforms like MT5 in terms of ease of use and flexibility?
