I havent used both ctrader and mt5 because i am trading through the mt4 but in future i guess i will be shifting to the mt5 if mt4 get disconnected in future.
That's a normal feeling one might get with any comprehensive trading platfrom. Of course, there are some custom platforms that brokers offer to trade binaries or that kind of stuff, where you see buy/sell button and that's pretty much it. Anything that has to do with real life trading, whether its MT4, ctrader or sierra charts - the first impression is 'hey, am I about to learn operating a spacecraft?!'
Loved MT5, it is literally made to be MT4 2.0 but with so many new features and additions. It is quite amazing trading platform.
Is there any news on that? All I noticed is that many of us talked as if MT4 will be discontinued because of MT5, but I do not see that happening at all. MT4 is as much crucial as MT5, to be quite frank.
Used cTrader after MT4, definitely had some complications, but overall a plus point to cTrader. As i went on board steadily, grasping cTrader became easy. i want to try out other non- metatrader platforms, do you guys have any other in mind? before MT4 phases out, i want to have a stable platform in hand.
Heh, I know the feeling! Nonetheless, this is the pure art or creating software - when you fit all these features in an intuitive interface that leads your through all the settings naturally, flawlessly, effortlessly. With all the respect, I can't say that metatraders posess this quality.
Well, if the platform has so many users (both mt and ctrader have quite a few) - you will never get as a developer to the point when expectations of all the users are met. Some people find smgth to be convenient, others will find it to be nonsensence. Looking at this perspective, I find ctrader to have a better strating point again. MT have to suit and please the customers that have been using the platform since the era of dial-up internet and got used to those layouts, logic, etc. Those were completely different criterias for usability and userfriendliness back then. At the same time they need to fit into modern standards now. That is a difficult task to retain old-fashioned clients and get new ones at the same time.
From what I see, cTrader is not that young either. 10 years is a great amount of time. Feels llike a whole new generation of traders.
If we take into account the proposed platforms, then of course the MT5 platform is an order of magnitude better than the rest.
