MSTY is down 3 from my buy price. It recovered a bit but MSTR and BTC are on a rollercoaster and it doesn't look like they'll be breaking new highs in August so my funds will stay tied up through at least the next div drop of 08/30. I don't mind much because trying to swing trade all time highs with the high risk of a significant adjustment in the background is unsettling at best.

I get what @wxytrader says, that MSTY is for the monthly dividends no the share price. At $12+/share yearly div less (max 30%) tax, that's still an easy peasy $8-9/year.
However MSTY is down $9 since the beginning of 2025 so the div gains is already wiped out by mid year and at that pace MSTY will go to zero by end of next year, which is what @demoncore is warning about.
MSTY works as long as the share price remains steady and divs remain high. Right now, its price and div are at their lowest. Not at all encouraging.

The funniest thing was I read how people are leaving BC, only to go to Alberta and Ontario... LOL.... Toronto for example has a rather large and growing unemployment rate.

Many go to the US, but of course only if they can work there. But I think most, once the finances allow, go to Asia. All the people I work with from Asia are going to retire back home. I guess this perhaps will help lessen the strain on healthcare for example (although I'm sure they come back for major stuff), but this also means that they take their dollars and spend them elsewhere, so this will likely be a problem down the road.

Most people of course can't leave because of working reasons, but many newcomers who have only been here for a couple of years can and do easily go back to where they came from after realizing that its just too expensive.

Well, this post from yesterday didn't age well. Trump announces tax on gold so BTC shoots up (no manipulation, no), perhaps to break ATH today Monday. MSTR is likely going to respond 430-450 range?

My eyes are turning to MSTY for a reaction. Anything lower than 22 over the next 5 days would be a concerning disappointment.

Gold prices are on a rollercoaster after a curious tariff ruling that the White House called ‘misinformation’ | CNN Business https://share.google/lqRh7TLKZdKQSRVYc

Allowing crypto in retirement plans could be the catalyst to take BTC to new highs.
I'll have to check with wxy to see if he called it. :)
