Msg from Paul: I am out, I may lose primary for my congressional seat

  1. ...with so many primaries and caucuses now over, we do not now need so big a national campaign staff, and so I am making it leaner and tighter. Of course, I am committed to fighting for our ideas within the Republican party, so there will be no third party run.

And I have another battle I must face here as well. If I were to lose the primary for my congressional seat, all our opponents would react with glee, and pretend it was a rejection of our ideas. I cannot and will not let that happen.

Ron Paul is fighting for his political life down in Texas-14. Having failed to gain any traction in his Presidential bid except among a lose cadre of fringe anti-war allegedly libertarian voters, he has had to suspend his campaign two days after appearing at CPAC.

Ron Paul is racing back to his district to battle back against Chris Peden, the Mayor Pro Temp of Friendswood, Texas.

  2. He says nothing about the money he has raised but has not spent...

    Klassic!

  3. Actually, Paul has not quit or suspended his presidential campaign. He always knew at this stage that he would be facing a congressional campaign and must pay it due attention.

Yes, his bid for president did not take off. But in reality it has exceeded expectations, and must be considered a victory for constitutionalism and the philosophy of liberty. It has kept the flame burning for another generation, despite the demonstrated love of the voters for authoritarianism, fiscal irresponsibility and the waging of aggressive foreign wars.

America will have to hit bottom before things will change.
