yea, microsoft is consistently played by the big boys (usually SAC), they always push it up 4-5% then turn around and short it, usually with the help of some news article they had a hand in getting out. this happened last fall too and will probably happen again this fall, it's always in advance of earnings too. so when you see microsoft rise for no reason and retail traders (idiots) getting in, you know it's time to get out and go the other way.
Nearing a 52 week low now, this stock has nothing going for it, no one is buying PCs and their surface tablet will do nothing, they are always a step behind.
Well in 2010 I said it was time to take out INTC and MSFT and replace them with AAPL and GOOG.....so I kind of hinted that about 3 years ago http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2982953&highlight=msft#post2982953 MSFT isnt going anywhere, they have been behind the trend for years...
Fundamentally I agree 100%; however, I'm a technical trader and that means today I might be bearish tomorrow I could be bullish.
