"Qualified opinions"... really? That's a bit of a contradiction, isn't it? At one point even the most expert of experts disagree. If you don't understand that then you'll keep looking for a "leader" or have "leadership thrust upon you". Otherwise, leadership can be taken by the reigns and an individual may begin to live a fulfilling and self directed life. So, it sounds like you're going down the "victim-hood" route to me and it's not a healthy condition IMHO. I hope we're just talking past each other slightly. A person's worldview depends on basic definitions and when you say "qualified" it sounds like there's an elected board somewhere that gives a stamp of approval. But, reviewing your reply makes me rethink that somewhat. My point is, the focus on the individual and their own responsibility is rather neglected and diluted in today's society politics. So, it gives me pause when you won't answer the question below w/ a simple Y/N: Why not simply acknowledge that people are allowed to disagree? Is that asking too much?
I absolutely acknowledge the right to disagree, but I also think it's important to acknowledge that not all perspectives carry the same weight in every context.
As long as there's no arbiter of that weight besides the individual. But... The problems starts when dimwitted fascist leaning administrations decide to throw good money after bad w/ cockamamie things like DGB. That news came out and it was like the deep state admitting there was a deep state. WTF!??! That was only 2 years ago! We paid good money for this, and I want a refund: Lol, you can't tell people what to think.
You have seen a lot of people look at you with about this expression haven't you? Right, I'm off to bed. I'll probably have a nightmare.
It's a pretty blank expression, so yeah... I guess so. There are many people who prematurely abandon an idea if they don't understand or agree with it. Even so, there is no need to accept it. So, I'm not going to tell you what to think or believe. Just trying to make an alternative understandable. I'm the first to admit I can be stubborn. But, sticking to your guns can be a good thing sometimes. Get some rest Tux. If you want to elaborate on your thoughts more, there will be time to do that.
