I understand the mistake. However, you are not understanding my reasoning for being anti-TA. I am not anti TA, I am anti claims of never a losing day, and claims that TA is all one needs for success. In addition, that objective TA even works. TA holds some value but its far from the end all in succesful trading. Sure, some folks can be succesful on their own. However it is vastly easier to have professional training at a prop firm than to try to find you own way. Why this causes such concern, I have no clue. I am consistenty learning from this site. I ran a forum for 8 years. I've crossed swords with a whole raft of sociopaths, psychopaths and mentally deluded over the years, you're not the first and you wont be the last. Just one of these destructive people can bring a forum to its knees. Oanda found that out the hard way, with some dickhead called 'zero', who they failed to deal with early enough. On face value? Yes, why not. If they're lying, it doesn't hurt me - they're only fooling themselves. With your alleged 'market experience', common sense says you should have matured past the childish stage of ranting at trading performance claims. Who cares if user xyz is making it up? Its my own performance that matters!! Perhaps your time could be better spent on system development, instead of strutting around here like a peacock with a burnt sphincter?
Your right. I personally could care less whatever is said or claimed. However, as unfortunate as it may seem, I feel an obligation to share my knowledge and experience by warning noobs about these types of snake oilers. Just because someone is "nice" and appears credible can be very seductive to noobs despite their message being total nonsense. A counterpoint is needed and I am that counterpoint which is built on my hard earned experience. I have already made enough money to be able to do what I want when I want whenever I want. In many ways it was much better than ET. Excellent interviews done by Surf, some excellent 'trader contributions' from real traders. However, he blew out his budget offering to pay people to post there and other credits. He was paying too much for content where Baron pays nothing. Baron's cost basis is very low (as we know...). He probably does most of the work himself, over years has a server cost as low as the industry can deliver, and volunteers. I have often thought that Surf is trying to destroy ET because it was succeeding where he could not. Surf''s view of the ET population as being made up of Stealth Vendors, and Newbe traders is very twisted. There have been several vendors who were identified by ET as being frauds such as Franz S&oar and others have learned. Surf did not play a role in that. Surf is a bitter person who plays out his anger on ET, it is ugly, and stupid. Slacker, You are totally right about the payment for posts being moronic. This was not my suggestion or idea. It was from my backers, and since they paid me and funded everything-- I had no choice. It was a last ditch effort to please the advertisers since outrageous things were promised by my sales staff-- again out of my control. I am trying to make ET a better place. Not run by TA clowns and stealth vendors. A place for real pros not phony housewife types making ridiculous claims or mentally Ill old researchers pontificating for pages.
