Moving Forward: Your Opinion of ET

Discussion in 'Feedback' started by Baron, Aug 21, 2013.

How Should ET Move Foward from here?

  1. ET needs to implement lots of new features, like Facebook, LinkedIn and other social sites.

  2. ET should incrementally add new features based solely on user feedback.

  3. ET should get rid of features like Books/Brokers/Software Ratings and stick to forums only.

  4. ET has been great for the last 15 years just like it is and should be left alone.

80/90, it is likely higher - but we're haggling over details.
After a while, I got (slightly) better at not buying the bad ones.

Keeping Livermore, Market Wizards I and II, stridsman and kaufmann, I could happily throw the rest away.

There are a few others I'd keep for their trader interviews, but not many.

    It is.
Its a good job too - without that, there'd be no market.

  6. Baron never explained how he would go about implementing the spirit of this idea.

For instance, he could still go the route I suggested (which is a popular choice on other thriving forums):

You seem to keep trying to turn this into a specific outcome yet Baron has not even commented on how the specifics would be setup yet.

We've had a few people like the "ignored users can't post in your threads" idea and a few who back general moderation over user's own threads... Baron never which method would be put in place.

Oh, and BTW, the method I described is a feature within vBulletin, or at least easily added to vB without much work. So don't bet it will take more than 6 months to implement on technical complexity alone.

  8. Someone with 100 posts is still a member of this community.

Do you feel entitled to "more say" than others just because you go post happy most of the time?

People with just a few posts create some awesome content here.

But then there's the individual with ~6800 posts *cough* *cough* who continues to post frequently, but such posts often don't contribute any value to this site what-so-ever.

Why should one be 'worth more' by post count alone?

    --

Of course, none of this even matters. I think your argument about post counts and influence on the forum is just misdirection. You don't have to answer to what everyone's said so far if you change the subject.

  9. I don't know why his count only shows 6800 posts, a quick search shows his post history is 800 pages long at 25 posts per page. He's pushing 20k

  10. Try having an original thought OR are you going to plagerize the thoughts of your hero up in Connecticut?

Face it, David. You have a third rate intellect. You went to a substandard university and you will NEVER be the Ivy League namedropping, BSD that you so pathetically want to be.

Quit the charade and grow the f*** up.
