How Should ET Move Foward from here?

  1. ET needs to implement lots of new features, like Facebook, LinkedIn and other social sites.

  2. ET should incrementally add new features based solely on user feedback.

  3. ET should get rid of features like Books/Brokers/Software Ratings and stick to forums only.

  4. ET has been great for the last 15 years just like it is and should be left alone.

  1. my trade journal is overall positive since 2002--- -- sure I have had some down years and over hype at times-- big deal--- facts are I am profitable over time. You seem like a cool person, overall. But i don;t understand why you just cant put me and others you dont care for on ignore-- everyone can do this now. It may just solve your problem.

  2. This is EASY to claim as fact but without a spreadsheet documenting EVERY trade, you're just assuming someone will go through 11 years worth of trade history to see if what you claim as "fact" is actually true. No one has the time nor the motivation to do so. You know this, so this is why you claim something as fact when, in fact, we don't really know.

Why not post that spreadsheet? I'll retract my statement and apologize to you if I am, indeed, proven wrong.

Yea right no big deal, just another journal, just another user of many. People can decide who they feel are credible enough to take advice and learn from, every one on this site is no big deal, just users, no big shots who decide they are going to be the ones who make an entire user group accountable for the flaws they see in their methods, just people Contributing to what interests them, no obstacles, no endless repeats of the exact same points to try and crush topics and direct people away, no big deals.

Do you read what you write?

You constantly cried that people invaded your PD thread and told them to get the hell out of it. You wanted total control of your thread.

You're right...having trading threads where guys discuss experiences over the years in the trading world, discussing trading ideas, and having good banter don't belong here.

We need more threads of you trying to hawk a phone that nobody in their right mind would own for way over market value.

What exactly did that thread and the google glasses thread do to better this place?

    Please enlighten me.

    Well said.

I know of many very experienced traders who used to come on here. They won't anymore.

Guys like Surf have destroyed this place.

Your trading journal is a disaster. Don't take this the wrong way, but that journal is a playbook on how to blow out an account.

What's worse is you have no credibility as you have used wrong prices in your futures trades (using A September entry and a December exit price was a nice try....you have done this more than once). You forget about big losing trades. You blow out losing the equivalent of like 40k in a Crude trade, then make let's say the equivalent of 10k in a YM trade and you call that good trading ?

You "trade" with no exit strategy on the downside. No wonder you never lasted long in the trading world.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but this site is Elite TRADER. Not Elite Money Raiser or Elite Match.com or Elite Selling Things.

It should be a site with TRADERS talking about the markets.

  7. I just want a WYSIWYG editor already.

    #167     Aug 22, 2013
  8. Yeah, the editing needs updating really really bad. You should be able to highlight some text, right click, and post a link, so that you can link without having to remember the complicated VB code that allows you to do the same thing.
Other than that, nothing else needed. Well, better moderation, but by now I've given up on that.

Give the thread starter the ultimate big stick. Even the threat of it would deter idiot posts and keep a good thread on track.

Hey, he did call the top in the dow after it fell 150 from the high. Gave himself a free 150 point lead. That was impressive.

I am calling the top in AAPL. I'm short at 702.10 starting tonight.

If his Journal is gross positive since inception I will swim to cuba and back in an hour.
