I would like to ask you if you can suggest any movies on trading. This is very related to psychology, especially Rogue Trader, I find. The true stories are the best ones in my opinion.

I found a great search engine for online movies:

I will start the list with two famous movies on trading that can be watched online for free:
    http://www.letmewatchthis.com/movie-2726-Rogue-Trader
    http://www.letmewatchthis.com/movie-2594-Wall-Street

Ok, before I forget, there's two more threads on this already, just in case anyone wants to look at those as well:

  2. 'Primer'

Not exactly a stock market movie but a sci-fi indie movie made on limited budget.

The story is about two guys who invent a time travel machine and then trade stocks to make some bucks but get sidetracked by other issues.

Complex but worth viewing - not Star Trek.

  4. ....also known as "Time Cop" with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Ron Silver. A decent flick. Thumbs up.

  5. The trading aspect was a minor plot element, but an excellent movie given the budget.

Rogue Trader was a lot of fun.

I didn't like Rogue Trader. I was bothered by such callous disregard for other people's money. Being trusted with OPM should be regarded as an honor and a privilege, not as an opportunity to take unfair advantage.

The movie was well made, but I couldn't watch the whole thing.

  7. Kung Fu Panda

The 2nd best Trading movie ever.

    I'm NOT joking !

  8. I had a different opinion about the movie, which is one of my fav trading movies.
I don't think Nick had a "callous disregard" for OPM. The movie provides a great lesson in trading. He started out with an error that instead of quickly cutting the loss, he tries to average down over and over again.

He makes many other mistakes that are good lessons for any trader.

As far as Wall St. movies go I have to give it 4 out of 5 stars.
