I have never seen "A Serious Man", but now I am tempted to. For me, I think "For a Few Dollars More" related to trading a lot more.
How on earth did you make that connection? The only parallels I see are challenges between living a hard life of honesty, and perhaps taking bribes under duress (with Jewish/Kaballah undertones). Not a bad movie (I watched it because of the Cohen brothers directing), but did not see any such connections.
Well I was thinking in relation to dealing with events out of your control. Ok, tenuous at best. I couldn't help thinking about Jack Hershey and The Mentaculus. At the end of the movie, I felt like the perspective shift made me think about risk differently. It just felt significant.
