Moveon.org has got to be shut down!

  1. Very interesting.

Are people like you and Maverick74 just plain old voices venting but never had a platform until the advent of the internet, or are you "seeds" of a sort planted by a political organization? Or a strange hybrid of both: do you reflect a wave in American political culture that has conservatives shouting in the various media, glorifying thier leader, demonizing the Democrats, and employing scare tactics and sophistry to expand their ranks? And now the ants like you and Maverick74 can do this on the new medium. Multiply this by a million ants and you have a new grass roots colony that has tentacles all over.

Moveon.org has caught on and now you guys are scared. You want to own the platform and drown out the opposition, even if it means chucking the 1st amendment, hence Maverick74's call to shut down Moveon.org. Granted, AAA, you probably don't agree with Maverick74 here. But how many do?

Take the terrorism scare, the new conservative organizations, the Patriot Act, and a shitpot of Maverick74s and you have a cauldron cooking a new McCarthysim.

PS. Maverick74's thread today on the Dean Tax plan perfectly exemplifys my point. A onesided biased political analysis rife with complaints, but not one practical suggestion for fiscal policy. The conservative platform seems be: "Vote against everybody (but me)"

  2. dbphoenix, I'll ask you again to state who it was that Bush didn't have "the balls" to go after.

If you fail to respond to this request (yet again), I think we may have to classify you as "an evader". A rather pesky evader at that; given your tendency to hound everyone else for egregious errors like not dotting "i"s.

Classify me as whatever you like. Who cares? If you're too lazy to do a little digging, then stay ignorant. Ain't gonna keep me up nights . . .

  4. But I wouldn't even know where to begin digging. You're yet to even mention what the people that Bush "didn't have the balls" to go after are supposed to have done.

According to you, there are some people out there that have done something, something bad, probably, that Bush was too scared to go after, so he invaded Iraq instead.

I think we can rule out those responsible for 9.11 because, as I said, Bush certainly did go after them. Without hesitation.

So who or what is left that could fit your description?

    Why dodge this?

Is it that hard to admit an error, db? Some trader.

NEW VIDEO UNCOVERED: MOVEON.ORG FINALIST IS PRODUCER OF ANOTHER BUSH/HITLER AD
    Wed Jan 07 2004 17:06:59 ET

One of the finalists of the MoveOn.org ad contest is responsible for another heinous web video that compares Bush to Hitler, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

An ad by "Take Back the Media" is one of 15 Finalists in MoveOn.org's Bush in 30 Seconds Commercial Contest. Produced by Michael Stinson [SYMBOLMAN], The ARMY OF ONE flash animation has been chosen out of over 1000 submission by nearly 3 million votes online.

But currently streaming on the Take Back site with ARMY OF ONE is another shocking advert produced by Michael Stinson [SYMBOLMAN] -- alleging Bush/Nazi ties!
