For those of you that trade on Eurex

Dont you find risky playing the DAX futures ??

I have heard that volatility is a bitch , the index can go violently either way during the day so stop losses are touched and then the index can go the other way .

Lately with all the bad news on the eurocrisis and every minister of every other country saying whatever on the future of the euro the dax must move even more violently .

I had a friend who traded DAX and failed then move to Eurostoxx50 who has a relevant but smoother movement to the DAX and then he traded the Bund .

Is the DAX index so unpedictable ??
On the other hand some say the Bund is too boring.

I used to trade DAX years ago, it is great instrument, but it is a bit too thin for my liking. The moves were great, and as long as you stayed out of market when ZEW or IFO came out it was easily tradable. The only time when it became nuts was during events such as Kiervel's SocGen.

It is obviously also a good idea to stay out of Eurex during major US announcements like NFP.

Unless stops are placed and they actively managed, risk managers etc... " Excuse my Latin...."
