The only one confused is yourself RFT. Islam did not "enter" these lands. IT went on a conquest spree throughout the middle east, northern Africa, Spain/Portugal and was halfway through the Frankish Empire until defeated by Charles Martel in the battle of Tours/Poitier in 732AD. These conversions were at the point of a sword. not "entering the lands" But nice try at punting the issue. Palestinians have no more right to the property than anyone else.
Which religion is righteous? Sure isn't Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. Don't know too much about Hinduism, Buddhism or the smaller religions. When all is said and done... man created all these religions and man created God. A lot of people that are religious today are so because at one point their ancestors were forced to accept a religion by the power of the sword. Those who resisted to convert where massacred. If Jesus or any other prophet were real he shouldn't have any problem coming to earth and stopping wars, feeding the poor, etc.
I didn't say "which religion"... It tends to be the extreme radicals in each religion that messes things up.
It's true. That's why no modern state should be established under a religion. It will only cause controversy. It also shouldn't be created in a location where it may be sensitive to other religions. When all organized religions begin to fade into obscurity, there will be more peace, progress and rationality.
I couldn't agree more. Establishing a state based on a make believe story somebody created x amount of years ago is prepostorous. Religion was created by man in order to control people. Don't want people to kill? Tell them they will go to a place called hell if they do...problem solved. It's astonishing that nobody saw the potential problems with creating a state based on a religion. Have you seen the movie Religulous by Bill Maher?
And before I get flamed, I hate all religions equally, and am not American and have no political agenda.
I've seen almost every mainstream documentary on Religion. Richard Dawkins had a great two series special on BBC too. Jesus Camp frightened me the most. It's so sad how they manipulate the children. But yea, people on this post will attack you if you say anything negative about Israel. They do not understand that people like us are critizing the state because it is established for religious purposes and not because we are criticizing Judaism. I was raised as a Roman Catholic and I think the church is the most corrupt party ever. I guess if there was a more prominent Muslim population on ET, I would receive insults if I said anything negative about Palestine. Religion has no business in politics. End of story.
