I have a friend who runs an airsoft facility in Miami. It's quite a warehouse - has a "down town" complete with bank, convenience store, parked cars (old unworking vehicles) and a "dock" area. All the buildings in the warehouse have rooms to clear, etc. It's downright huge.

In speaking with him one day, he told me that groups of kids regularly play the warehouse and the tactics these kids use rival those of special forces units. He says he's not sure where they get it - video games, practice...whatever. For laughs, two weeks ago he pit four police officers up against a team of late teens he picked to run them against. The bet was $500, best out of three. The teens took the cops with no problem whatsoever. Was a huge wakeup call to the cops.

I have noticed one thing in the U.S. regarding cops and shooting.

The officers in the U.S. South (and other rural areas) tend to know how to shoot - when they get in a confrontation they tend to shoot in groups of 3 and all three bullets hit their target - usually the perp ends up dead. Exactly like they were trained. For a recent example I give you this - Fayetteville cop shoots teenage thug who tries to draw on him as the officer was arresting other family members with an angry ghetto crowd around the solo officer. Three shots all hit the teenage punk and none hit anyone else.

Every time I see a police shooting story in New York City or in the Northeast. It involves multiple officers pulling out their guns and emptying every last bullet in the clip. Usually two or more innocent bystanders are hit. Many times the criminal does not even get hit despite 35 or more bullets being fired.

I have limited experience... but the cops I met in florida had military backgrounds.

Cops in the northeast frequently have politically correct backgrounds.

    Conservative govt vs liberal govt.

honestly, teenagers have skills by nature.. I was about 35yo, some kids hassled me when I drove by so I pulled over real stealth-like, got out of the car and was running very fast up the line of parked cars. I was just having some fun. They didn't see me until I was twenty feet away. They turned and went through the front doors of an apartment building with me right behind. They were vanished like ninjas!! To this day I can't figure out how they did that but I do recall being about 13 yo and hiding about a foot from where the guy chasing me was standing. I just ran and saw a hiding space and was under some steps in a flash... I guess we don't clue all these teenagers to just how good their skills are, instead we bullshit them about how we are older and smarter :)
