Thanks for the clarification because you made an opening statement about evidence you will provide and then later started mentioning specific sponsors. Hopefully, you can see why I concluded your specific mentioning of a sponsor by name in this thread would correlate with your opening statement. Anyways, you've now updated (clarification) about why you mentioned Thenuttrader and that they do not correlate with your opening statement even though you do indeed have a personal opinion about them scamming newbies.

By the way, there's an existing thread for personal opinions about newbies being scammed in the Education Resources thread @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?t=212110

Simply, I think you should keep this thread true to your words involving your opening statement to only involve those that you have facts (you said you would provide proof) via evidence through documents that detail guilty pleas, law suits, convictions, reprisals, warnings or sanctions by regulators while not discussing others that you have no facts via such. Yet, if you do mention others that you do not correlate with your opening statement...at least make it clear (not after someone ask you about it) that you have no facts and that its your "belief" or "personal opinion" that newbies are being scammed.

This will prevent newbies and other members from thinking in error that every time you mention a specific sponsor by name in this thread...you indeed do have facts (evidence) that you will share without having to be prompt to reveal such evidence.

By the way, you didn't answer my question...who is your data vendor and broker ?

I ask because there was a similar like thread like this a long time ago where someone considered herself as a vigilante but she refused to name her own broker and data vendor. Eventually she did and she continue using them after someone else posted links to lawsuit judgements against your broker.

  2. ...by the way I never promised to discuss my broker, data service counter parties nor trading platform specifics. Sorry but I cannot comment on that (and honestly I could not care less what you think of that)

Could it be you have vested interest in "Thenut-trader"? If yes it would be nice if you disclosed that, I thought it was common practice to do so if that is indeed the case?

I never said you made a promise to reveal the name of your broker. It was just a question I gave you and you have made it clear you will not answer the simple question. :D

I have no vested interest in any one you have discussed so far in your thread involving revealing evidence against an ET sponsor. Yet, I did once use Interactive Brokers for about 2 months as a backup broker about 10 years ago. Also, I am currently thinking about testing the Ninjatrader software and I've been a lurking member of their forum for a few years.

In other words, I currently have no vested interest in any of ET sponsors and if I did...there's no rule that saids here at ET that I'm suppose to disclose I'm using a service of a sponsor. Your refusal about whom is your broker or data provider obviously shows its not common practice to reveal such if asked. :D

Anyways, I'm just curious about the so called evidence you have not revealed about a single ET sponsor in hopes that Baron will boot fraudulent advertisers (your words) although you've mention a few by name in this thread but not in the same context as your opening statement as you later clarified...just personal opinions of yours that newbies are being scammed in your reference to Thenut-trader.com while the other you mentioned is not a sponsor.

P.S. Whom are you talking about from amongst the list of ET sponsors posted at the bottom of the forum in your reference that you're going to reveal evidence ?

Note: I think Oanda is a sponsor of ET but they are not listed below.

  4. I quoted one broker and I will add evidence (though it is freely available on the internet, such as here

    http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/public/review/www.orbex.com

I did not want to submit more because Baron insisted it is not an official sponsor. I am still convinced I have seen the banner of this broker somewhere on the ET website (hence I am not apologizing) and I am sure it does not originate with an issue on my computer but as I have not seen the broker ad anymore I gave it the benefit of the doubt and rest my case. I honestly do not know how Baron runs ads on this website and whether he has full control of who advertises here or whether it goes through Google Ads or whatever.

I don't use ad networks so I have full control, which is why I know exactly who advertises here and who doesn't. I'm going to close this thread shortly because it's completely baseless.

I've never seen any advertisements by that company called Orbex here at Elitetrader.com as a sponsor and I'm sure I would have noticed such.

As to the issue about your computer...you may want to update your internet security program along with stop visiting websites that may have malware involving that company you have been been researching. Lots of junk out there and its not specific to trading websites.

For example, take a quick read of past issues here in the feedback section. You WILL see old complaints by folks telling Baron they got some porn website advertisement or pop up when they visited Elitetrader.com while at the same time stating its "nothing wrong" with their computer...yeah right.

I'm sure the porn sites too weren't sponsors of ET and I've never seen any listed in the below list of sponsors although folks swear they saw the porn ads. My advice to those folks that were positive they saw porn ads here at ET after visiting porn sites is the same advice I just gave you...stop visiting those sites that carry information about Orbex and stop visiting Orbex site or affiliations prior to visiting Elitetrader.com or at least clean out your cache with a top notch securing program prior to visiting Elitetrader.com before throwing accusations. :D

The porn issue was ET related and not malware. An ET member was hiding javascript code in his replies that re-directed viewers to porn sites. Baron has since taken care of it.

I'm aware of that issue involving child porn via the malicious javascript that was posted by a pssst off ET member...another member that didn't like how Baron managed members. I believe Baron had to get law enforcement involved to get the guy. Those were sad days when that javascript hit ET and we were extremely glad Baron acted quickly to fix that.

Anyways, my reference was to a completely different issue after the members "admitted" they had visited specific porn sites prior to visiting ET. They are also active members in the "Cassie's Pictorium" thread.

The issue or point I'm making is that these are not sponsors of Elitetrader.com
