The idea that either one of these two guys is going to fix it, it being every god damn thing under the sun at this point is delusional. Congress was, is and will continue to be the main source of our problems, with lunatic governors and mayors now running a close second. Throw in a media that wouldn't know journalistic integrity if it clubbed them over the head and the shitshow is complete. Presidents are nothing more than a distraction from those problems, and just serve as a political piniota as everyone pretends we're making progress. This whole thing is circling the toilet bowl and it won't be all too long before the terd formerly known as the United States of America will be gone, replaced with some new experiment which will provide some novel entertainment.
I am not looking for a Bill Clinton type, and arguably the country has gotten into trouble and continues to get into trouble as a result of an excess of compromise inside the beltway rather than a lack thereof. BUT, to your fundamental earlier point, I certainly agree that the dems could easily get elected if they had such a person on the ballot.
I don't follow them that closely but when I do it is not pretty. Arizona and Maine pubs are going to take a hit. On the other hand, Alabama will probably revert to the pubs, after Doug Jones' little 15 minutes of fame is over. It will be a mess. Because it is so close, I assume that the party that takes the white house will coat-tail in the Senate as well. Even if Trump wins there will still be enough dem senators- with or without a majority- to control his supreme court nominees, not completely but a lot. The president nominating still gets to be in charge but ultimately they need to appoint someone who can get confirmed. If Trump wins then it is going to be a world of vetoes and executive orders. It's all he will have to work with in many instances. But the dems will want to dismantle and cancel America so he has to work with what he has.
Right now the Democrats are the favorites. The GOP is only expected to pickup AL. The Dems will likely pickup AZ and CO. They look to be the favorites right now in ME and NC. That would bring the total to 50-50. Whoever wins the presidency controls the Senate at that point as the VP is the tie breaking vote. Currently, Biden is slightly favored by the bettors. MT and IA are close. Both GA races lean GOP, but could swing. I'm not buying that MI is in play for the GOP or SC, KY, KS, or TX are in play for the Dems.
Trump has already showed he is competent. Biden has already showed he is not. Mentally ill liberals do not like Trump so they voted against him because of their disease.
C'mon Man ! Don't be so critical. We also got -almost immediately- a trillion dollar stimulus program. From those funds, we got lots of zippy programs, such as ones that showed black men in Africa how to wash their penis. I pretty sure that created lots of jobs - in Ghana or Chad. Because I am just a simple country boy, before that, I had no awareness that washing your dick in Africa could create jobs in America but I am woke now. Stimulus Funds African Genital Washing Study The money from the monstrous $787 billion program Obama promised would jumpstart the economy and put Americans back to work was distributed by the National Institutes of Health. The goal is to stop the spread of AIDS in Africa by convincing uncircumcised men to develop an effective after-sex, genitalia-washing regime. The aim, according to the publicly-funded study, is to evaluate the “feasibility and acceptability of a post-coital male genital hygiene procedure” among Africans unwilling to be circumcised. https://www.judicialwatch.org/corruption-chronicles/stimulus-funds-african-genital-washing-study/
Actually going to agree here. Trump is physically and mentally fit but incompetent. Biden is competent but physically and mentally unfit. I think people are just voting for their perceived favorite celebrity and nothing actually matters anymore. I believe this is the true red pill.
