But why use a derivative of price to show you a trend? If price has upward prints, that is trend depending on how often you check the tape, and vice versa.
Precision. I can measure trend to a degree that the eyeball crowd can only dream about. I have no idea what "upward prints" are, but trend always depends on the time frame you're measuring it in. So what? That happens to be the same time frame I'm trading in, so there's hardly any incompatibilty.
I don't know why, but I lawld when I read that you too have no idea what upward prints are. Maybe he means prints/trades that occur at or above the ask? Also, I would be just fine if I never heard such an ill-defined term such as price action ever again! That said, I found this poll interesting.
One should never put an indicator into a trading algorithm except if one has enough money to lose but hey.. what should we do without the money that constantly flows into the market from all the dreamers.
