Most Dangerous? American Black's or Iraqis

  1. My apologies. I jumped to a bad conclusion because your post, saying you were willing to engage these animals, came on the heels of a bunch of posts in which they accuse me of not engaging them.

In all honesty, I commend you for being willing to engage them. You are a better man than I for it. Once again, my sincere apologies.

Just FYI, spect-haters modus operandi is to post increasingly bizarre theories and suggested courses of action until someone steps up and says 'wait a minute'. Then he backs off and makes a bunch of posts in which he claims to be just a regular guy trying to understand a complicated world.

  4. is there any other profession that has such a high rate of racism than trading?

  5. Of course quite a few traders are on the right, but I've never correlated modern conservatism with the virulent type of bigotry and race hate we see here. I mean, this spect-hater guy is openly advocating the elimination of 'inferior' races through political action. The silence here is deafening. The right love to hammer the left (not without reason) for giving us the culture of victimization and the political stifling of personal responsibility. I have always seen racism on the right as a sort of by-product of their fundamental beliefs, not the basis for them. I know it's deluded, but I choose to believe that the majority here would, if tied to a chair with a gun to their head, admit that they don't buy into the abhorrent, genocidal course of action advocated by this sick individual, or by those otherwise discredited member/prognosticators who follow him around wiping his ass.

  6. But these posts, this thread, have nothing to do with trading, at all.
Pabsts' views are well known-as are others, yet nothing here has anything whatsoever to do with their respective trading abilites.
I suspect, given their priveleged position in life, you would get the same discourse at most country clubs, old boys clubs, or most bars where there are wealthy people, anywhere in the world.

They have a personal stake, analogous to south african whites, they feel they are under threat.
    And their opinions reflect that.

I gather chicago is a beautiful city, btw.

  7. I would agree with the above - racist indoctrination doesn't necessarily preclude trading prowess. In Dan's case, I have no idea about his trading style or ability. In Pabst's case, I used to question his trading just to get under his skin, but then he went ahead and proved publicly that he doesn't have a trader's mindset. In fact, there have been quite a few hints that Pabst isn't a great trader. For example, he recently bellowed that he had 'run 10K up to 2 million'. That's usually a sign that you're dealing with someone who doesn't have very much confidence (see coinzy). Once again... why would anyone post something like this on an anonymous message board??

With regard to the possibility that we would hear these kinds of things in any all-white club or old boys party - I am not so sure. I think the old boys who run business know goddamn well who does the work they need done to make their money. I don't think they'd all be against controlled immigration. None of us are for uncontrolled immigration.

With regard to the idea that blacks are inherently more violent than whites - I do not think that the wealthy old boys have a corner in this kind of thinking. Again, I believe it is caused in part by a lack of education, so that you will find this type of thinking in lower class, poorly educated whites.

With regard to Dan's other ideas... perhaps a few of the wealthy old boys club would be open to these ideas, but IMO the vast majority would dismiss them for what they are.

  9. No man, I know you didn't. I have nothing against you. I was just saying that, as you yourself mentioned, these people's views are well known around here and they aren't necessarily correlated with trading skill.

    Dan is spect-hater.

  10. At my club we do not allow mixed-race radicalised French speaking Canadians from Quebec who are addicted to meth-amphetamine and/or 'crack' cocaine with criminal records for violent crime.
We do not discriminate on the basis of skin colour much less whether they are 'Black'.
