  1. You need serious lessons in Reading Comprehension. I mean, honestly. Go out and sign yourself up for a class right away before it's too late.

Go back and read my post again. I was sarcastically quoting that statistic because it implies we're a nation of drunks by reading it - although I clearly said of course not! "Just like your bogus statistics about 40% of Russian men are alcoholics doesn't mean most Russians are drunk (read again, bogus stats).

The articles you quoted ALL reference Russian statistics. That's not research, it's not references. It's crap. One need only visit and live in Russia to know that they have NO WAY of collecting that data. There is no census program, despite your bringing forth an article claiming that. Oh, that's right - because it's on the internet, it must be true! Give me a break. Try living the world instead of believing everything you read from a British source quoting a (here's the laugh) a Russian one. And so what? You posted a picture of a man drinking a vodka bottle and I'm supposed to accept that as fact?

    Oh, but wait!

Then, read further and get this, accurate gem of data:

LOL! Yeah, you sure provided me with conclusive evidence alright! Evidence that Frodo Baggins is a Fucking Russian living in Siberia! Well done!

Let's not forget that NO source is quoted in this "article of research" and that the Russian Census Bureau doesn't...umm,...what's the word?

    EXIST

Lastly, we're talking about a country's ability to gather reliable data in a system where, during last election, 4 republics reported situations where they had more votes for Putin than there were people living in those areas. I guess the hobbits came out in full force that day, eh?

I take back what I said. You weren't a worthy opponent. You're a fool for not knowing what is crap and what is not, and eating everything up anyway.

    I do, now run along.

  2. Heil Hitler? In Russia?

Although I've never been to Russia, I have heard stories of such racism. However, I find it hard to believe that skin heads yelling "Heil Hitler" in the streets in a culture that lost 25+ million to Nazi Germany to be tolerated to any large extent, much less be wide-spread.

Hooliganism, yes. Nazi skin heads parading around Moscow? I doubt it. Just another example of "selling" the news based on a skewed American perception.

  4. EC1

    EC1

I have read the stats somewhere that 2/3 of world's nazi groups are in Russia. You better believe that reality.

There are some political parties which hold extremist views as well, supporting Putin in his vision of the Soviet Union (effectively denying past crimes).

Oh and Hitler was made by the Soviet Union as well. He was jailed in the failed 1923 putsch, which was coming from the Soviet Union. (after they failed to invade Germany in 1920).

  5. First Idiot Ivanovich draws a parallel between statistics of Russsian alcoholics and statisics of american alcohol users, then he denies it when cornered.

Statistical organizations have a pretty good idea on how many people in Africa are HIV infected and how many Iraqis oppose the US occupation. But Idiot Ivanovich believes that Russia can't possibly know the number of alcoholics.

Russia has been collecting very accurate census data for centuries, the latest census was universally recognized as a success but Idiot Ivanovich does not agree because it does not match an "extremely representative sample" of 30 Moscow residents he personally knew.

Nice job Idiot Ivanovich, don't ever let facts interfere with your beliefs. It's really amazing to watch how dumb some people are, denying facts and research because they have opinions and are sticking to them no matter what.

And BTW поцелуй меня в задницу

  6. Anyone have any stats concerning crime rates going down 18 years after Roe v Wade was put into effect? Remeber the controversial study saying the reason for the drop was due to the fact that the criminals were simply "not there"? If anyone has any unbiased info on that, post it. Curious as to the validity of the claim.

  7. The following is a direct quote from my post above. Go on, check it out.

So what is it exactly I am denying? Take your time on this one, I know it's a tough question.

That's because, oh learned one, not-for-profit organizations like the World Health Organization and charity organizations are allowed to run around Africa and catalogue all sorts of statistics. They work closely with governments in Africa to determine accurate data based on sampling and direct contact research. Duh. There are none of these major organizations doing anything close to widespread work on Russia insofar as alcohol is concerned. Duh!

During Soviet times, the data the government HAD was accurate. What they released is bogus. Now it's all a joke. I've worked with syndicated demographical data (because of my job there) and it was often off by factors of 100-200%! People were forced to go to census data surveys before. Now they laugh at it. Didn't you read the article you posted? If you had, you'd see how hilariously funny it was and that it wasn't calling anything a success outside of tongue in cheek. Go on, read it again.

You can call me an idiot as often as you want. Doesn't bother me one iota. I think we all know who the idiot is. And who the naive American is. And who has their head in the sand, etc.

    Have a happy day!

  8. Forget trying to reason with him Ivan - it's like he lives in Bizarro World, left is right and up is down to that boy.

Sometimes I believe he's trying to out-troll KingZZzz, but I just think he's a mess..

Best advice - move on, you've won...

  9. It's my first encounter with him. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt before I throw them away with the rest of the trash. But I think you're right. This exercise in futility is over.

I do have to admit, though - that article about the Russian census had me in stitches. I mean, Russians saying they're members of hobbits, elves...haha...classic.

    Cheers.

  10. Do you call that reasoning? He has not come up with a single fact, research, article or at least second opinion of a reputable qualified person/organization supporting his argument. He's got his own point of view and he's sticking to it no matter what.

Come to think about it that's exactly how you usually reason - without facts, statistics or research so I am not surprised you found him convincing. I am not surprised you're both die hard reactionary bush lovers either.
