Mortgage lender Thornburg COO says lender will survive

  1. Shares of mortgage lender Thornburg Mortgage Asset Corp. were in recovery mode Wednesday after a key executive's televised comments.

    Chief Operating Officer Larry Goldstone said :

    "I'm hopeful that by the end of this week we will be sort of completely out of this situation," Goldstone said during an interview on business-news channel CNBC Wednesday morning. "Hopefully by next week, it's going to be pretty much back to business as usual for us."
    If the company pulls through, it will be able to start funding loans "in a big way."
