Prayer calms and relaxes the body & mind. When the mind is relaxed it can think better and clearer and come up with ideas and solutions to problems. Running around in a stressful panic does not work as well. Look at traders for example. How many successful traders do you know who trade well when they are stressed? Probably none because they make idiotic mistakes when stressed. If they do something to relax when getting stressed, they trade better. Prayer is one of those things that relaxes the mind & body. Its been proven & written about in medical Journals, so prayer just might work for this oil disaster.
Then how about a day of just deep, rhythmic breathing? That relaxes the body and mind as well. The time for deep breathing legislation has come. And perhaps you should propose a bill for an Annual Visualization and Positive Imagery week. I can just see it now...
