I didn't mean she would takeover as Berkshire Hathaway's leader, that's a preposterous thought. I meant she is heir apparent to replace him as "The Investment God" which so many perceive him to be. And at 93 I personally dont see how he can keep this up much longer.
Come to think of it, will Buffett hand over the helm to a successor? Without Buffett and Munger, I ain't sure the same luster will remain.
Have they included AQR Capital Management in that analysis? Not that AQR has destroyed more wealth than Cathie Wood, but I would like to know whether AQR as a fund family have created or destroyed wealth compared to their benchmarks.
You call somebody who just lost 14 billion dollars of investment, the highest wealth destroyer an "Investment God"? LOL Wow, our standard of competent investment manager is high? LOL If we retail traders all trade like her, we would be 1) end up on the street and 2) laughed and mocked at so hard we won't even know ourselves and yet just because she's a "prestigious" fund manager, she gets away with it? LOL I also hope all those investors who lost money have enough investment profit to take advantage of these losses.
Good question. Who is taking over from Buffett to run Berkshire Hathaway when the time comes? I am sure there is a succession plan.
What you or I think about her doesn't amount to a squirt of piss. It's what the rest of the world thinks about her. She has become like Cher,Madonna or Sting. They dont even use her first and last names anymore, she's simply known as Cathie and everyone knows who you're talking about. I'm not the one who thinks she's an investing God but apparently CNBC,Bloomberg,et al do.
I do not consider CNBC or Bloomberg to be authorities on investment management experts considering that they backed clowns like James Cordier. And the trend nowadays is the celebritism or the "star" effect, everybody is a celebrity that's got a brand. Is there any substance or real skill or competence behind what they preach? Nobody cares. As long as they can preach like a TV evangelist and make tons of money for everybody who follows them, that's all that matters. Elizabeth Holmes, Charlie Javice, James Cordier, and now her, all fall in the same category.
