This guy lives in Kentucky...in a rural community...

    Kentucky

“Higher interest rates and labor costs are more than offsetting lower feed and fertilizer expenses. Land values are continuing to be relatively strong, despite shrinking farm profit margins and climbing interest rates. However, signs indicate that land price growth is slowing down, but overall, the balance sheet for agriculture remains favorable heading into 2024.”

    South Dakota

South Dakota ranked in the top five states for growth in gross domestic product and personal income during the first quarter of 2023, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. The state's real GDP went up +10.1% and personal income went up +9.2%.

    Illinois

"We attracted new companies and helped existing ones expand, achieved record job growth, and improved our state's fiscal health. 2023 was another year of historic progress"

"Illinois had an incredible year for economic development. From a record number of loans provided to start and grow small businesses to record tourism achievements, Illinois is the place to be,".

Evanston, Illinois (location of my 2nd Home)

The average income of a Evanston resident is $41,340 a year. The US average is $28,555 a year.

The Median household income of a Evanston resident is $87,345 a year. The US average is $69,021 a year.

Yep, the economy is much worst under Biden in the locations I'm personally associated with...rural, urban, red state and blue state. That's their feelings.

    ----------

Yet, talking to people from the above three states I'm associated with...people feel like the economy is worse under Biden when in reality is much better especially now that they have higher-paying jobs that are keeping up with inflation and the cost of living in their community.

Therefore, if they want to go back to the economy that was about to fall over the edge and then fell off the edge in 2020...enjoy Trump 2024 - 2028 and America is flooded with products from his buddy China (Trump's favorite metric has always been Trade with China...a trade war that Biden is winning).

    #stupidity

Thus, Trump needs to stick to the issues about the Southern border, Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Hamas, and stay away from the Economy & Abortion...he'll win just as long he does not become a convicted felon.

Reality, Trump will not do better considering he'll adopt the same border measure that he encourage our dysfunctional Republicans to block for political gain after getting everything they wanted.

Yet, America's #stupidity will not surprise me if we have a convicted felon as the President of the United States...thanks to the Supreme Court. :D

I Gotta Feeling (it's about those feelings...economy is bad when it really is good)

Fox News has done it two other times. One particular time was when Trump stated at a rally that American savings accounts were empty because of High Inflation...

Then economic numbers were released that Americans went on a spending spree at retail stores in November and December 2023.

Americans continued to spend heavily as 2023 came to an end, driving retail sales higher by 0.6% in December, fueled by online purchases and spending at bars and restaurants, the Census Bureau reported on Wednesday. Economists had forecast an increase of 0.4% after November's 0.3% gain.

Fox News commented they didn't understand why people are so broke...where are they getting the money to drive retail sales UP, fueling online purchases, and spending more money at bars & restaurants in an economy that Trump continues to say "is bad" ???

    Answer: Discretionary Spending

Something Trump repeated last night in his Super Tuesday victory speech...later corrected as a lie by fact-checkers last night. Yet, in Trump's gibberish speech last night that was full of false narratives...he did reiterate he'll focus on the "immigration problem" although he framed it so poorly...

I saw people leaving although its possible they needed to go to the toilet.

Earlier today, other media outlets commented on the same thing that I saw on TV...people were leaving...one media outlet counted 10 while another counter 35 that left during Trump's gibberish victory speech.

But wait, there is one bright spot: the stock market! It’s going gangbusters. According to Trump, this has nothing to do with Biden, “the worst president in the history of our country”, but the Republican frontrunner’s own healthy poll numbers indicating his return.

Then it was back to the bad news of border security and immigration...

The one LIE by Trump that I was a little shocked he stated...

He said when he was President...there were no wars and no problems in the world. He then continues with the lie that no U.S. soldier was killed when he was President while he was bashing Biden for the failed Afghanistan withdrawal...the withdrawal that Trump once bragged he setup Biden for failure.

It's the same lie from about 2 years ago. I was shocked he's still using it in his speeches.

If Trump was referring to the period between February 2020 and August 2021, when he negotiated the Afghanistan withdrawal agreement, 15 deaths in total were recorded as “hostile deaths” in the database, with two in February 2020 and 13 in August 2021 (here). Equally, “Non-Hostile/Pending Deaths” were also registered in this period.

    https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSL2N2X92S8/

FYI, there were +60 conflicts in the world in 2020 when Trump was President. We all know the world was in chaos because of the Pandemic but Trump pretends everything was "fine/calm" in 2020...

One of those conflicts was a battle between Israel/Palestine.

During a flare-up in early May, Israeli airstrikes killed 25 Palestinians, 13 of whom were civilians killed in strikes that appeared to contain no military objective or caused disproportionate civilian loss in violation of the laws of war, while Palestinian armed groups fired 690 unguided rockets towards Israeli...

The same Pandemic that almost killed Trump in October 2020 when he became infected with COVID-19...prompting him and his family to get fully vaccinated in January of 2021.

I already knew the above FACTS and didn't need a geekish fact-checker on TV to tell me.

This is what non-inflationary wage gains looks like. And don’t act unimpressed.

Biden's signature laws will give most of their benefit to the rural poor in mostly red states, who will hate him for it.

Biden is spreading $442 billion across the US. The impact could be greatest where he’s least popular.
Two of Joe Biden's signature laws appear all but certain to have the most impact in rural corners of the country that are far from the President's likely base of voters this November.

The federal government has spent about $442 billion thus far on President Biden’s signature laws — the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act. Here are the types of projects:
